How Does Homeopathy Work
Hosted by
Jenny Hwozdek, CCH, RsHom(NA)
A 14-Part TeleConference Series
A series of downloadable one-hour lectures with a half hour questions and answer period are available below about the modern scientific explanations for homeopathy and other paradigms that currently exist that relate to homeopaths such as shamanism, hypnotism, trauma, etc. The presenters will look at innovative scientific thought and explore the mystery of energy healing. Many of the lectures include Power Point Presentations.
You will be a part of a cutting edge discussion with scientists, philosophers, healers and international homeopaths who are currently examining ideas about our interconnected universe.
This TeleConference series creates for our community an ongoing conversation in which we, as homeopaths, can explore and develop the ability to explain – HOW homeopathy works!

Niela Miller
Topic: Ms. Miller plans to give examples of the ways she uses various arts processes in her practice to generate data and insight that are not typically accessible through a rational, logical process or talking alone. She will describe when, how and why she uses particular media and invite callers to do a few short exercises, which will illustrate the gist of her approach. She will bring in Gestalt and process-oriented psychology modes and demonstrate how she incorporates these approaches in her practice. Ms. Miller envisions that conference participants will then be able to draw connections between her work and their roles and techniques as practitioners.
**As this was an interactive call, Ms. Miller requested that everyone have a few sheets of white paper, black pen, as well as three primary colors in any medium (pencil, crayon, markers) and some paper on hand.

Bio:
Christopher Beaver is a homeopath and has been an avid student of shamanism for the past 20 years. He teaches internationally to thousands and has authored a book and deck of cards for personal practices.
Jean LeVaux
Topic:
Ms. LeVaux plans to examine the patterns that are lodged not only in the "mind" but most especially in the "body," both cellularly and in tissues. Ms. LeVaux understands that imprints of traumatic patterns prevent evolution, growth and enlightenment. Therefore, illness and trauma are truly holistic events, and must be unwound holistically, through body-oriented attention; not through words and ideas, which are abstractions from events. The practice of awareness and inner-directed movement seem key to this unwinding process.
For more information about Ms. LeVaux's work, please go to www.fnd.org for "The Interview," a chronology of the Holistic Living Center since 1966. The Holistic Living Center holds weekly potluck suppers, offers guidance in unwinding, and other workshops on such topics as Aging and Conflict Resolution. Other works of interest include Lynne McTaggart's "The Field" and Bill Day's "A New Physics." In these works, the reader can track how holism has expanded to include holistic physics, education, geometry, mathematics, evolution, and indeed, the universe.

Amy Lansky, Phd
Topic:
In 1996, Amy Lansky wrote and released a paper onto her personal web site -- "Consciousness as an Active Force" (www.renresearch.com/consciousness.html). The article describes how consciousness, rather than being merely a passive form of awareness, can also be viewed as a force that can affect our trajectory through higher dimensional space. As a result, it can potentially be used to manifest a variety of paranormal phenomena such as "unlikely" forms of healing, psi phenomena, synchronicities, and more. Since that time, this paper has been cross-linked widely on the Internet and has appeared in The Noetic Journal. In this presentation, Amy will discuss the relationship between homeopathy and these ideas. She will discuss, for example, how the law of similars and phenomena experienced during provings may relate to the active force of consciousness. She will also touch upon other theories about the mechanisms of homeopathy that were described in Impossible Cure (structured water, chaos and complexity, etc.) Lansky is currently writing a new book based on her paper about consciousness, as well as on her more recent explorations in meditation and manifestation. Her book "Impossible Cure: The Promise of Homeopathy" is a best-selling book in the homeopathy community.

(www.impossiblecure.com). As an executive board member of the California Health Freedom Coalition, Lansky helped to pass California's health freedom law in 2002. She has been a board member of the National Center for Homeopathy since 2004 and currently serves as Secretary.

Presentation in Powerpoint format:
http://www.innerhealth.us/downloads/TT/2/LMilgrom_HHW_071208.ppt
Bio:
Lionel Milgrom, PhD. has been an academic chemist the majority of his adult life and more recently became interested in homeopathy after observing homeopathy adeptly curing members of his family. While his initial response was one of 'outrage' at what appeared to be a contradiction of basic chemical principles, Dr. Milgrom made it his business to try to understand 'how homeopathy works'.
Dr. Milgrom went on to train and now practices as a homeopath, while at the same time meditating on how these two great paradigms of science and homeopathy could somehow segue into one another, and ultimately, lead to a rapprochement between homeopathy and conventional medicine. Dr. Milgrom is currently working on a book about his research, and looks forward to its publication 2009.
